used 4WDs & SUVs are very popular the world over
for their durability, style and reliability. The Japanese
like them too which means they are plentiful in the
auctions in Japan. However not all of them are as they
should be, many are rusty underneath or have been clocked
(wound back odometer). That is why we are extremely
careful when selecting 4WDs & SUVs for import into
New Zealand. We would never buy one for our clients
without first inspecting the odometer and its mountings
prior to purchase then having it removed and re-inspected
by a qualified technician after purchase to ensure it
has not been tampered with.
Severe
rust can be another issue with 4WDs and SUVs in Japan
so we also inspect them underneath prior to purchase.
Unlike many exporters who offer so called "cheap
imports" every import we ship is thoroughly inspected
by trained staff to be sure there isn't a major problem.
Many dealers make frequent buying trips to Japan searching
for these dubious rusty "cheap imports" to
buy so they can remedy the defects before compliance,
however these still are, and always will be dubious
vehicles. We just walk away from these vehicles at auction
if they don't meet your and our standards. We apply
